Infestations by head lice become most apparent at the beginning of each school year
When an adult he scratches his head, nobody suspected anything unusual. In any case, we assume, "has to be thinking" or "did not wash the hair." But when the scratch is a child, nobody has any doubts, all assume the same thing: "that little has lice."
The head lice can affect people of all ages, but are school-age children with those most at risk to suffer. And among them, although not known to science some reason, the most affected are girls. As well as in general, tend to be more affected women than men.
We say: you have finished school without ever having suffered from lice, is basically not having gone to school.
How is transmitted?
The one for head lice is the man. Only men may suffer, and these lice just elect him. Therefore, any animal, whether domestic or otherwise, can transmit head lice.
Head lice often choose to stay the area of the neck and behind the ears, mainly. Well, there is more constant temperature and the hair suffers less breakage. Outside the head, the louse survives only about 24 hours.
The main form of contagion is head-to-head (or as in schools, child-to-child). Can help some objects such as combs, hats, etc.. And so it is very important not to share, to prevent infestations. But anyway, the first form of contagion from one to another.
To avoid contagion in the dangerous stage school, usually recommend taking the short hair (in children) and picked (for girls). Even the best are the two braids, and then leave the neck clear. E it emphasize to our children not to share personal items mentioned above, such as hats, combs,
