Natural sleep aid Melatonin

Often called as the sleep hormone, the natural sleep aid melatonin is a hormone that the body produces at night. People who are blind, those who suffer from jet lag, or those who live in places with extended sunlight hours may have trouble sleeping because their bodies do not produce enough melatonin. Patients looking for a short term solution may be helped by taking melatonin supplements, as well as for those people whose natural wake and sleep cycles have been disturbed. Melatonin is also helpful for those who are trying to wean themselves off of sleep remedies.

They tend to come on suddenly and last from 1 to 5 minutes and they may range in severity from fleeting warmth to a feeling of being in fire. Some women experience this symptom differently and others don't.

No one is completely sure why and how hot flash occurs but the individual tolerance for the changes in temperature could be the possible explanation.
